Receipt of the incentive constitutes investment income in kind, subject to tax payment on account at a rate of 19%, which will be applied by the Bank in accordance with the applicable tax regulations. Customers must declare the value of the income plus the tax payment on account not passed on in the savings tax base of their Personal Income Tax (IRPF) return.
The applicable VAT will be due when the incentive is delivered to customers. However, Openbank will not charge customers for this accrued VAT payment. Instead, it will be paid and effectively borne by Openbank. Can I take part if I’ve had Bizum with Openbank before?
You can take part as long as you haven’t had Bizum with Openbank between 01/11/25 and 31/03/26. If you had it before then and want to bring it back, now’s the time.
What happens if there’s a tie on points?
✔ If there’s a tie on points, the customer who brought their Bizum to Openbank first wins.
✔ If both customers activated Bizum on the same day, the customer who has been with Openbank longer wins.
When will I know if I’ve won a ticket?
If you’ve won, you’ll receive an email from 13/04/26 with all the details about your match (date and time) and how to collect your tickets.
What conditions do I need to meet?
- You must be an individual, of legal age, and a tax resident in Spain with a national address for correspondence purposes.
- You must be an active Openbank customer and and the holder of a current account.
- Activate Bizum at Openbank between 1 April 2026 and 8 April 2026.
- Keep Bizum at Openbank for at least 12 months if you win.
