Openbank rewards up to €600 for new fund investments

Openbank, Grupo Santander’s 100% digital bank, is launching a campaign to encourage the sale of funds through new investments and transfers. The bank is running this new promotion to provide rewards of up to 600 euros for customers who invest in any of the +2,500 funds of the 120 asset managers that make up its open-architecture catalogue, depending on the amount invested, which must be 5,000 euros or more.

Customers are now able to earn an extra €50 when they invest between €5,000 and €9,999; €100 when they invest between €10,000 and €29,999; €300 when they invest between €30,000 and €99,999, and €600 euros when their investments are upwards of €100,000.

To take part in this promotion, every user must register by entering the promotional code FONDOS2022 on the bank's website or app until 31 May (inclusive) and make a new investment, switch their investment funds or change fund distributor before 30 June. Once the deposit has been made, the customer’s current account associated with the fund will be credited during the second half of July; however, the position must be held for at least one year.

The bank closed 2021 with net inflows into these investment products exceeding 200% when compared with the previous year. The bank’s customers are able to choose between different formulas to invest in these vehicles, whether or not they have previous knowledge of them. They can invest directly through the open-architecture catalogue of over 2,500 funds from more than 120 asset managers. They can also engage the robo-advisor automated investment service, featuring different strategies adapted to the risk profiles of each investor as well as to changes in the markets. As a final option, they can take advantage of different fund portfolios with pre-defined asset allocation models that can be adapted to each type of investor.
