What do your friends have to do?

You'll get €20 each if you both have Bizum activated at Openbank for at least 2 months.
To unlock it all, your friends must use the card 3 times and activate Bizum both within the first 30 days of opening their account. Once activated, it must be kept activated for at least 60 days.

How many friends can I refer?
You can create unlimited referral codes, but only 10 people can open an account using your codes.
The maximum amount you can earn is €700 net.
What happens if I refer more than 10 people?
If you refer more than 10 people, Openbank will only pay the reward for the first 10 friends who meet the promotion requirements, up to a maximum of €700 net.
If Openbank detects any fraudulent or improper use of the referral code, it may exclude the participant from the campaign and withhold or reclaim any rewards paid.
Who can I share my referral codes with?
You can share your code with friends or family who are interested in opening an Openbank account.
Don’t forget: your code is personal, single-use, and should be shared responsibly.
What is considered fraudulent or improper use of the referral code?
Any non-personal or irresponsible use of the referral code will be considered fraudulent or improper. This includes publishing or sharing it on forums, social media, comparison sites, websites, coupon platforms, or any other public or mass-distribution channels.
In these cases, Openbank may exclude the participant from the campaign and withhold or reclaim any rewards paid.
What does my friend need to do for us to get the €50?
Your friend must open an account using your referral code and make at least 3 purchases with their new card within 60 days of opening their account.
They must also not have been an Openbank customer in the 12 months prior to the start of the promotion.
When do the 30 days start?
The 30-day period starts from the date your friend opens their Open Current Account.
Within that time, your friend must make at least 3 purchases with their new card and, if you both want to get the extra €20, you must both have Bizum activated with Openbank for at least 2 months.
How do we get the extra €20 for Bizum?
Your friend must activate Bizum at Openbank within 30 days of opening their account and keep it active for at least 60 days when the promotion requirements are verified.
You must also have your Bizum set up with Openbank at the time the reward is paid and keep it active for at least 2 months as from the date your friend opens their account.
This additional reward does not apply if either of you has benefited from another Openbank Bizum promotion in the previous 12 months.
Can my friend take part if they were an Openbank customer before?
Yes, but only if they have not been an Openbank customer in the 12 months prior to the start of the promotion.
If they closed their account within the last 12 months, they will not be eligible to take part.
Do Bizum payments count towards the €50 requirement?
No. To get the €50, your friend must make at least 3 payments with their Open Debit Card.
Payments or money transfers made with Bizum do not count as card purchases for the purpose of meeting this requirement.
When will you receive the €70?
The money will be paid in to your current accounts between the 15th and 20th of the month after meeting the promotion requirement, i.e.:
- The €50 will be paid the month after your friend opens an Openbank account and makes at least 3 card payments.
- And we’ll pay the extra €20 the month after both of you have Bizum activated with Openbank for at least 2 months.
Where can I get my referral codes?
From the app
- Go to “Refer a friend” from the home screen or the side menu.
- Share the code with your friend.
- That’s it! They just need to use it when opening their account.
From the website
Log in to your Customer Area on the website > Your profile > Refer a friend.
Is the money I receive gross or net (before or after tax)?
It’s net. Openbank applies the corresponding tax withholding and credits the resulting amount to your account.
Can I combine this promotion with other welcome offers?
No. If you open your account using a friend’s referral code, you won’t be able to add another promo code afterwards, such as HOLA250, to benefit from a different welcome offer.
Both promotions are exclusively for new customers and cannot be combined.

Bear in mind that the friend you refer must not have been an Openbank customer at any time during the 12 months prior to the start of the promotion, and the extra €20 for activating Bizum is excluded for referrers who have signed up for any other Bizum promotion in the last 12 months.
Payment of the incentive constitutes investment income in cash, subject to withholding tax at the current rate of 19%, which the Bank will deduct from customers, paying them the resulting net amount. Customers must declare the incentive received in the savings tax base of their personal income tax (IRPF) return. Customers are entitled to the deduction of the withholding tax applied.
Openbank will deposit €50 net in both the referrer and the referree’s current accounts only if each is registered as the main holder of their respective accounts and €20 net if you both have Bizum activated with Openbank for at least 2 months.
The money will be paid in to in your current accounts between the 15th and 20th of the month after meeting the promotion requirements.
