What should I do if my card has been stolen or I've been a victim of fraud?
The most important thing is to block your card as soon as possible.

In the app: Go to Cards

Select the card > Tap More options > Block card

If you know which card provider you need to contact, you can also call:

Once your card has been blocked, it can no longer be used. You can then request a replacement card, which will be sent directly to your home address (please make sure your address details are up to date).


Your new card will have a different card number, but it will keep the same PIN. If you'd like to change your PIN, you can do so at any Banco Santander ATM.

I've already blocked my card. What should I do next?
We recommend reporting the incident to the police as soon as possible. If there are any card purchases or cash withdrawals you don't recognise, this will help you make a claim.Find out more

You can report it:

  • At a police station
  • By phone on 902 102 112. You can then collect the police report from any police station.

If you need details of your card transactions for the report, you can download them from your Customer Area.

To request a chargeback, please send us:

• A completed and signed dispute form
• A copy of the police report
