  • The promotion is aimed at customers who set up a direct deposit of their salary, pension or unemployment benefits, or a direct debit for their self-employed social security contributions (RETA).

Openbank, Santander Group’s 100% digital bank, has launched a new cashback campaign offering up to €500 to customers who use their debit and credit cards over the next six months.

Under this promotion, customers can earn up to 3% cashback on purchases made with a debit card and up to 10% on purchases made with a credit card when they set up a direct deposit of their salary, pension or unemployment benefits, or a direct debit for their self-employed social security contributions (RETA).

To take part in this promotion, customers must open an account with Openbank, sign up using the code “CREDITO500” before 13 January 2026, and set up a direct deposit of their salary, pension or unemployment benefits of at least €900 before 27 February 2026. Self-employed customers must set up a direct debit for their social security contributions and pay in regular monthly income of at least the same amount. In both cases, customers must maintain these arrangements for 24 months.

Once the conditions have been met, the bank will pay any cashback earned into the customer’s current or payroll account in the month following the end of the cashback period.

With this campaign, Openbank continues to strengthen customer engagement by offering financial incentives for using its products.
