04/01/2022
Openbank, the 100% digital bank of the Santander Group, has renewed its sponsorship of the Mutua Madrid Open for the second year running. The tennis tournament, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, returns to the Caja Mágica arena from 26 April to 8 May, welcoming the biggest names in male and female professional tennis.
The clay tournament will once again host the women’s WTA 1000 draw and the men’s ATP Masters 1000 tournament. Fans hoping to watch the world’s best tennis will be able to enjoy around 231 top-level matches in an open-air venue with the highest level of health and safety measures in place.
Patricia Benito, Openbank General Manager, says: “The Mutua Madrid Open is a prestigious cultural and sporting event, and we are proud to once again form part of it. This renewal for a second season is a sign of the bank’s commitment to the competition, which seeks not only to extend the reach of tennis globally, but also to engage with those passionate about the sport.”
This year, the bank is increasing its presence on and off court through an exclusive space that brings those attending the tournament closer to Openbank Wealth investment products, such as funds, pension plans and our exclusive robo-advisor automated investment service. Openbank customers will receive a 5% discount on the ticket price (subject to availability).
