Openbank raises its savings account interest rate to 3.04% APR for new customers

Openbank, Santander Group’s 100% digital bank, has increased the rate on its savings account for new customers to 3.04% APR (3% NIR) for four months, while raising the maximum balance eligible for interest to €1,000,000, positioning it as one of the most competitive savings products in the Spanish market.
To benefit from this promotion, new customers must open an account with the bank using the promotional code “BIENVENIDA” by 31 October (inclusive). The promotion is aimed at customers who set up a direct deposit of their salary, pension or unemployment benefits, or pay in regular income of at least €900.
After the initial four-month period, the account will revert to a standard savings account at the interest rate applicable at that time.
Customers who do not meet the requirements can still benefit from a rate of 2.53% APR (2.50% NIR), keeping the account in line with the most competitive offers on the market.
